Skirts & Such

Honestly, I love skirts. I hadn't realized it until earlier this year, but I really do. I've got quite a collection already, and all I want to do is find more to add to it. Although, before this blog, it was hard to justify purchasing a skirt, but I sort of made the decision that I'm just going to wear skirts whenever I feel like it. Even though every time I do wear a skirt, I get asked why I'm wearing one, I'm on a mission to change the world. Just like hats, I wish we could go back to a time when it was completely normal to wear skirts and dresses everyday. Don't get me wrong, I do love a good day in my favorite pair of blue jeans, but there's something about a skirt.

I literally love everything about this outfit. Chambray, obviously it's a clear favorite; bright pleated skirt that is actually long enough to not feel like you're about to flash everyone, yes please; comfortable flats that I wish I could wear every single day? Yep, got those too. It may be simple, but it's my kind of outfit. Oh, and this skirt is another one of my Austin finds from a few weeks ago. I wore this to my bachelorette party (before I knew what was going on), and even though I changed later, I would've been completely happy just wearing this.

My bachelorette party was lots of fun. They snuck me away to Austin/San Marcos, we went to eat at a swanky restaurant downtown, then we walked around for a bit, listening to some cool bands, then proceeded to have a night full of fun girliness. It was like a big slumber party, something my friends and I haven't gotten to have in such a long time, I loved it. Then, Saturday morning, they took me horseback riding, I was jumping for joy the entire way there (not literally jumping.. seeing as that probably wouldn't be safe inside a car..or on a horse for that matter). My horse's name was Snickers, and Snickers liked to try and eat everything possible, it was kind of ridiculous, but hey.. sounds kind of like my beagle, so it fit. On the way back, most of us stopped at IKEA and had loads and loads of fun looking around and pretending we were sleeping on the beds and couches just to see what other people would do.. that place is stinking awesome.

Hope you ladies had a great weekend. Most of my weekends from now until the wedding are jam packed with things to do. I'm hoping I can survive..haha.

Beagles, Bloglovin', and Bachelorette Parties

I'm about to be picked up for my very own bachelorette party in a few minutes, I have no idea what's going to happen, but I'm excited! In the mean time, I'm going to leave y'all with a few beagle pictures that I took the other day while we were at the dog park (again? I know..). I had planned on showing you guys how I did another one of my wedding DIYs, but I don't have enough time. So here they are!

phahah, Sky is a goof

The beagle with more black in her is Abby, she's Curt's parents' pup and she's the silliest girl! Muggles and her like to wrestle (if you couldn't tell by the pictures above). Sky gets really intense with his tennis balls too, btw. Most of these were taken with a 70-200mm lens, it's the first time I've ever used anything that powerful (and heavy), so it was really fun. Plus, you can get awesome action shots! The other photos that are inside were shot with the 50mm lens, I'm seriously loving that thing.

OH! And all of this Google reader stuff is crazy.. so you know, you should follow me on Bloglovin'. It's the best way to do things in my opinion anyway! Have a fantastic weekend y'all, see ya on the flipside!
