Pinspiration, #1

I've seen multiple bloggers do these sort of posts all over the place, but I have to say Danielle's are always my favorite.. and maybe I'm a bit biased because she's one of my favorites, but.. oh well! But, I love the idea of it all, so I've decided to start a little series.. look at that two series start-ups in one week!

I get a lot of my ideas for outfits from Pinterest and other bloggers. I love the thrill of seeing an outfit I love and realizing I have all of the pieces to recreate that particular outfit in somewhat of a similar way without having to spend a dime. It's also fun just getting ideas for how to wear my clothes.. because it's so overwhelming sometimes to go into my closet and try and figure out what I'm going to wear. Does anyone else have that problem? I'm sure I'm quite at home here with all of you, because you all love clothes just as much as I do.

So, here it is.. my first official Pinspiration. I saw this a few days ago, repinned it pretty automatically because I'm obsessed with chambrays.. guh, do you guys get tired of seeing my chambray? I'm so sorry, but it is sooo easy to wear! I didn't realize it at first, but I had a skirt that kind of reminded me of the one in the picture, I honestly hadn't worn it in years, but it is one of my favorite skirts -- the pattern is awesome!

Can I just say I love this outfit? I felt comfortable all day, despite wearing a skirt that's semi-short, in my opinion. Plus, it gives me another chance to remix my own wardrobe.. because I've had all of these pieces for quite awhile. I may have cheated and worn flat sandals (that look pretty identical to these wedges) to school.. only because I wanted to be able to walk at a reasonable rate; I'm a pokey walker in anything with somewhat of a heel..even if it is a wedge. But, I switched over for pictures and dinner with the boy.

Oh, the reason I'm giving y'all the thumbs up in the last photo.. would be because this is my very first post with my Aggie ring on muh finger! And us Aggies, we gig 'em (which is indicated by the thumbs up) Whoop! I'm so in love with it, and yes, I put my right hand up on the steering wheel just so I can admire it when I drive, I'm not obsessed or anything.. haha.

How about you guys? Where do you get your inspiration from for new outfits?

Rant for the day: Pinterest has recently made me very annoyed.. I was invited to one of those group pin board thingies. WHAT THE HECK DID I GET MYSELF INTO?! Seriously, y'all, the board is blowing up my pinterest feed and it's basically all I ever see. I've been trying for going on four days now to get off of the board, but there are 1400 members, and you have to scroll through a list of ALL of them to find yourself. Not to mention, the page freezes up and then you have to start ALLLLL OVER. I'm bound and determined to remove myself from the board, but Pinterest needs to find a new way to allow people to remove themselves from group boards. It's way too difficult the way they have it now. I emailed them, and got a computer/generic response.. I'm so not a happy camper. :(

Safari Kristina

Okay, so maybe I look like I'm about to take you on a safari adventure.. not like that wouldn't be awesome or anything, amirite? Honestly though, I'd love to go on a safari, but I don't think it'll ever happen. There are just so many other places I want to go first. Anyway, this post is totally not about safari adventures, even if my outfit has a certain tour guide feel to it. I scored these J. Crew sandals this past January at Plato's Closet for like.. $4, I felt like I found the Holy Grail or something. They're a semi-awkward color, but I adore them none-the-less. And the shorts are probably the most comfortable shorts I own; Curtis got them for me when he was in San Francisco a couple of summers ago. The man has good taste!

The long weekend wasn't exactly long, in fact, it went by entirely too quickly. I won't complain about it too much though, I've got many exciting things coming up in the next few weeks. After I get past this last round of exams before finals, I have a bridal shower and a bridal tea party (how awesome is that?! I want to wear a cool hat.. we'll see if that happens) this weekend, and then next Friday is my Aggie Ring Day. Oh dear y'all, I'm so excited to get that little gold ring. I've been waiting for that day since.. well, since forever it seems  like now. I'll probably do a more detailed post about the Aggie Ring once I actually get mine, but I'm counting down the days until it's on my finger!

I know this post isn't exactly exciting, but I've just got so much studying to do, it's all I can really think to talk about right now. If you must know, I'm truly enjoying both of the classes I have exams in this week, so that makes studying for them a bit easier. One class is over international business, which is automatically fascinating to me. I just love all things international, and it's so fun that my professor has that same sort of passion. The second class is an intro to management class, doesn't sound too appealing, but it's actually really interesting to me.. and since I'm thinking about going to grad school for HR, it's pretty important for me to know this stuff.

Hope I didn't bore y'all too much with all my school talk.. oh, and I've started watching Justified. I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to watch a lot of television over the long weekend, but I kind of became obsessed with it, oh, and Timothy Olyphant isn't too bad to look at either (I think it's the hat..). If you'd like, you can read this entire post in a Kentuckian accent, since that's how I've been talking to Curtis for the past couple of days (it is entirely too easy for me to slip into a Southern accent.. I probably sound absolutely ridiculous though!) Does anyone else do that? Speak in different accents because you've either been watching a show with it, or you've been around someone who has a different accent than you? I do it all the time. Don't even get me started on my British accent.. Okay, I'm done rambling. I've gotten addicted to yet another TV show, this is becoming a problem people!
