Day 19 & 20: Twofer

I'm pretty excited about this Saturday evening. Curtis, his parents, and I will be making our way on over to Olsen Field to watch the Aggie baseball team play. I've only been to a couple of baseball games during college, but I'm really excited to actually sit down and watch a game like a normal person.. The first time I went, we sat in the direct line of the sun. First of all, I couldn't actually see anything, that's kind of the purpose of sports..to watch them, and having sun in your face isn't fun at all. The second time, Curtis and I ventured over to watch the Ags play Michigan State, but his back was really awful at that point and we didn't get real tickets, just general seating..meaning we had to sit on the ground -- or lack of ground because there were so many people there. Needless to say, we left early. So third time's the charm, right? I've actually watched more away baseball games than games at home, weird.

Day 20:

Before I actually put real thought in what I wear to sporting events (besides just what t-shirt I want to wear), I would've just worn a t-shirt and some jeans and gone with it. But, since I'm getting all inventive now about every other part of my life, why not sporting events too? I've never been one of those girls that wears dresses  to football games, and I don't really plan on starting anytime soon. Maybe if I find a really cute maroon skirt, I'll throw it on for a football game or two..who knows, maybe it's cooler, because Lord knows Texas in September is hellish. Anyway, I thought this was a pretty cool look, perfect for the upper 60 degree day we're having.

And here's what I wore yesterday for Day 19:

Yeah, I was trying to cross my legs and be all "blogger cool," turns out I'm a bit clumsy. I did get the hang of it eventually though.. I really enjoyed this outfit yesterday. It was nice and comfortable, but still put together..and I'm obsessed with lavender at the moment.

Curtis doesn't know what to do with me and my new found obsession with getting dressed in actual clothes every day. Maybe this means he'll start caring about clothes too? Probably not, but I know I'll end up just buying him clothes that I think will look good and he'll ask me what to wear every morning once we're married. It already happens now actually.. I love that silly boy. We went out to eat last night, the hostess put us literally in the middle of an entire boy's basketball team. It smelled like stinky boys athletic clothes, and they were taking "shots" of hot sauce.. ohh boys. For some reason, this always seems to happen to Curt and I. We always get stuck next to the most random conversations, people, whatever.. always.

  1. It sounds like you're gonna have/are already having an awesome weekend!! I'm not too much of a baseball fan but we have a minor league team that plays at a big stadium right near my house so during the summer Matt and I have fun date nights there :) its so fun in person!! Except...I got hit with a foul ball in the arm last summer and got the nastiest bruise that covered half my forearm.

    it was sexy.

SO be careful and beware of foul balls!!! ;) Oh and your outfits are both adorable! I sometimes wish I went to a big school so I could buy our athletic apparel *outside* of our campus bookstore and get actual cute stuff...like the baseball tee you have on. So jelly.

    1. Tehe, yeah. Curtis played baseball for forever..almost went on to play college baseball, but decided not to in the end. We really like going to watch the MLB teams here in Texas too, since the tickets aren't too expensive to sit in the nose bleeds.

I definitely won't be getting hit by a foul ball..that sounds awful. I played softball when I was younger, got hit in the eye by a pop-up. My mom nearly had a coronary. Oh, and in the back of the calf by a line-drive, gah, I couldn't walk for a week.

A&M has a plethora of t-shirts..seriously, sometimes it's just too much. I've got way too many maroon and white shirts. I probably look like a hoarder. ;)

  2. Loving your two looks! Nothing beats a chambray shirt over an A&M t-shirt!
Hope you enjoy the baseball game!
