Pinspiration, #1

I've seen multiple bloggers do these sort of posts all over the place, but I have to say Danielle's are always my favorite.. and maybe I'm a bit biased because she's one of my favorites, but.. oh well! But, I love the idea of it all, so I've decided to start a little series.. look at that two series start-ups in one week!

I get a lot of my ideas for outfits from Pinterest and other bloggers. I love the thrill of seeing an outfit I love and realizing I have all of the pieces to recreate that particular outfit in somewhat of a similar way without having to spend a dime. It's also fun just getting ideas for how to wear my clothes.. because it's so overwhelming sometimes to go into my closet and try and figure out what I'm going to wear. Does anyone else have that problem? I'm sure I'm quite at home here with all of you, because you all love clothes just as much as I do.

So, here it is.. my first official Pinspiration. I saw this a few days ago, repinned it pretty automatically because I'm obsessed with chambrays.. guh, do you guys get tired of seeing my chambray? I'm so sorry, but it is sooo easy to wear! I didn't realize it at first, but I had a skirt that kind of reminded me of the one in the picture, I honestly hadn't worn it in years, but it is one of my favorite skirts -- the pattern is awesome!

Can I just say I love this outfit? I felt comfortable all day, despite wearing a skirt that's semi-short, in my opinion. Plus, it gives me another chance to remix my own wardrobe.. because I've had all of these pieces for quite awhile. I may have cheated and worn flat sandals (that look pretty identical to these wedges) to school.. only because I wanted to be able to walk at a reasonable rate; I'm a pokey walker in anything with somewhat of a heel..even if it is a wedge. But, I switched over for pictures and dinner with the boy.

Oh, the reason I'm giving y'all the thumbs up in the last photo.. would be because this is my very first post with my Aggie ring on muh finger! And us Aggies, we gig 'em (which is indicated by the thumbs up) Whoop! I'm so in love with it, and yes, I put my right hand up on the steering wheel just so I can admire it when I drive, I'm not obsessed or anything.. haha.

How about you guys? Where do you get your inspiration from for new outfits?

Rant for the day: Pinterest has recently made me very annoyed.. I was invited to one of those group pin board thingies. WHAT THE HECK DID I GET MYSELF INTO?! Seriously, y'all, the board is blowing up my pinterest feed and it's basically all I ever see. I've been trying for going on four days now to get off of the board, but there are 1400 members, and you have to scroll through a list of ALL of them to find yourself. Not to mention, the page freezes up and then you have to start ALLLLL OVER. I'm bound and determined to remove myself from the board, but Pinterest needs to find a new way to allow people to remove themselves from group boards. It's way too difficult the way they have it now. I emailed them, and got a computer/generic response.. I'm so not a happy camper. :(

  1. You look adorable. Love those wedges. I need a good pair for this summer. And I've had every issue in the book with pinterest. So frustrating.

    1. What a small world! That is so awesome! I've heard stories about Aggies going abroad before and being stopped by other Aggies in the craziest places. I love the network we have here. :)

  6. Oh I love everything about this outfit! (No really, the skirt, the top, the shoes, there ya go, everything!) I like using pinterest to help me too, sometimes I feel like I'm just standing in front of my closet staring for ages, and it's definitely nice to just get an idea from somebody else.

  8. kristina! this is one of my favorite outfits of all time on you!! i can't even believe how similar those skirts are. your shoes are to. die. for! for some reason, i know that this outfit would look really awful on me, even though the pieces are all relatively easy.

so i just scrolled to see the print on the skirt again and decided that i like your version better than the original. :x

  16. That is a really great copy-cat look! Did you try clicking on the board, then edit board, and then there is a "leave" button next to your name. If you don't want to scroll just do Ctrl+F and then your name and it will find you :)
