Where to begin, where to begin? Having time to look back on our honeymoon now, I appreciate it more than I did while we were there. At first, I wasn't quite sure if cruising was for me.. it all just felt so rushed, well the excursion parts of it did. Time on the boat was really relaxing, I just wish we had more hot tub time! Thinking back (like it was soo long ago, ha!), I really do treasure some of the first memories Curtis and I had together as a married couple, and I can't wait to go on another cruise.. whenever that may be!
I have so many photos, and honestly, I wish I had more. Especially inside the ship... for some reason I just didn't take many photos while walking around the inside, dang. Alright, let's begin!
Curtis and I left right after our wedding reception to make our way to Houston, a two and a half hour drive (roughly) from Waco. We did make a pit-stop so I could get out of my ginormous dress, and he could change into jeans. Once we got to Houston, we made our way to our hotel for the evening, the J.W. Marriott, it was quite fancy schmancy.
The next morning we were off to Galveston to board our ship, the Carnival Magic. Sorry I'm awful and didn't ever take a picture of the ship before we boarded it..
WARNING: Lots of pictures ahead!
For our specific cruise, we were out at sea for the first two and half days, so we got explore the boat. There were awesome shows, fancy drinks (our favorite was the Kiss on the Lips -- seen below, we even bought the ingredients once we got back to make our own..ha!), little fun things to do here and there, lots and lots and lots of food to eat, but I mainly enjoyed just lounging around on the decks, looking out at the ocean (and people watching, because it's what I do).
There were a couple of nights where we had to dress up for dinner, and you know me.. I do enjoy dressing up, only part was, my bag full of dresses had been left at Curtis' parent's house in the chaos that was -- a wedding day. Luckily, I packed my maxi dress and a couple of blouses and skirts in my actual suitcase, so all was not lost! Curtis and I actually didn't enjoy the fancy dinners as much, maybe it was because we'd already eaten everything imaginable? I did get to try escargot, and it was the best thing I had during that dinner!
Look at that handsome husband of mine! I wish we would've asked someone to take our picture for us.. but people tend to get a bit confused when you put a DSLR camera in their hands. Awk.
Usin' the table as a tripod.. successful!
There was one evening in particular where the sunset was absolutely gorgeous.. I'm guessing it was our angle in the water, because on most of the other days, you could barely see the actual "sunset." They were still really pretty, but this one was amazing!
You can thank Curtis for that beauty of a picture.. ;)
Okay, I think that's enough pictures for one post, lol. I'll be posting next about our adventures in Jamaica! Have a fantastic Friday everyone!
Sounds like an amazing cruise and lots of fun, I really enjoyed looking at the pictures. Love that blue maxi dress!
