Let me just say, I don't like a plan-jane wedding, but, I also could never have afforded the type of weddings you see on TV, which is why every single item that was in my wedding decor was either thrifted, made by myself or Curtis's mom, found in the garbage (yeah, I'm a dumpster diver), a hand-me-down, or provided by my amazing wedding decorator and family friend, Amy -- aka that lovely bike, the sign-in table, the door being used as a table top the cakes are sitting on, and the photo booth backdrop. Everything was more beautiful than I could have even imagined! I wish my photographer had gotten shots of all of the tables, because man, Amy did one fantastic job on each and every one of them.

The venue Curtis and I picked for our wedding was a historic home in the downtown Waco area, built in 1873. I wish I knew more about the history of it to tell you all, but honestly, I don't. All I know is, it's one gorgeous building, and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Yeah, I drove by it the last time I went home.. tehe. And those trees! I'm absolutely in love with those trees. They make the venue in my opinion.

Our wedding cakes were made by a local baker, and I have to say.. for not being able to try the different cake flavors out beforehand {one of the only things I was worried about}, I was so, so happy with how they turned out. We went to a popular bakery first, just to get an estimate, but when they wanted $900 just for our wedding cake alone, I had to say absolutely not. Instead, we found the most amazing baker who works out of her own home and made every layer with love, and yeah, it wasn't even half of the price the bakery wanted to charge. Plus, it had my dots on it, an element inspired by obsession with milk glass vases. Our one Aggie element of the wedding was Curt's groom's cake, we had to throw it in there somewhere, ha. The two flavors for the cakes were champagne for the wedding cake, and mocha fudge for the groom's, and boooy oh boy, they were delish. Oh, and the toppers were absolutely perfect, of course.
