So, I took these photos after I got out of my photography class.. I'm pretty happy to say I've found a new spot to take pictures at that's out of the way of random people (or so I thought, ha). I didn't get a decent picture of my shoes because these two guys literally drove up, parked right next to my car -- mind you, this parking lot is completely empty at this time of day -- and freaked me out. Apparently this field is used for RVs and tailgates during football game weekends, and they were claiming their spot. So, I just kind of packed my stuff up awkwardly and left..ha. Oh well, they didn't ask questions, and politely asked me if it was okay for them to walk by. If I had known what exactly they were doing at first, I would've definitely just kept taking pictures, buuuut.. oh well. You'll see these shoes much, much more. I want to wear them everywhere right now! I won't tell you their story until you actually get to see them, tehe.

The button-up has a story behind it, too. I fell in love with one exactly like this from Madewell, but it was $70, and I just couldn't bring myself to get it. Plus, my mom was paying and I'd feel awful. So, I left Madewell super bummed because that blouse was the blouse I had been looking for. About 30 minutes later, I walked into Forever 21.. I wasn't looking for anything in-particular, and it was PACKED, but there she was, the exact copy of the top I had just left behind in Madewell, in the middle of the top shelf, right in my line of vision. I quickly ran over to see if they had my size and made a beeline for the dressing room to try it on. It fit perfectly, and even better.. it was only $15! Kristina was happy, happy, happy. I'm so obsessed with the tiny polka dots!

Like the new bloggy blog? I've been working on it for the past week or so, and just wanted a clean, modern look. Can't go wrong with black and white. Happy Thursday, lovelies!

  1. love this top SO MUCH!! if i wasn't on a shopping ban i would run to F21 to try and find it. maybe they'll still have it in a month? I can only hope!!

i had sooo many awkward moments this summer while trying to take pictures in my front yard. i would just walk up to the camera and pretend like i'm fiddling with it. the neighbors probably think i'm crazy! luckily i have a secluded little porch to take all my pictures on now...not the best photo spot but it works :)

  3. I am loving the new look - very clean, very fresh!

I love the top - and I love that you got a great deal on it! I have never owned anything from Madewell. It would definitely be awesome to, but the prices are just to much for me!

  4. Hurray for finding the perfect shirt! Even before I heard the story about it, I was going to exclaim about how great it is. I bet it'll be so versatile in every season.

  7. The new design looks fabulous Kristina!! Disregard the comment I left on today's post. I hadn't seen this post yet! I love the simple black design! How did you get your header image? I made my own a few weeks ago but all the pictures of plain white backgrounds didn't end up actually white so I took it down.

That blouse is adorable on you! I can see you wearing that quite often once the weather cools down in Texas!

    1. Hey girl, I think I used some code at some point to make my header background transparent? I'm not quite sure. I was having problems with my test blog and this header, but for some reason, when I transferred everything over to this blog... it wasn't a problem. I'm sorry I can't be of more help! I'm definitely not a pro at HTML.
