Anyone who knows me really well, knows I love all things British, and when Curt's mum asked if I'd like to have a Bridal Tea, I couldn't hold in my excitement! My future MIL's best friends hosted it for me, and had everything from Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea, to a smaller, less messy version of my favorite cakes, strawberry and chocolate sheet (in cupcake and brownie forms). Oh, not to mention we had my favorite coffee, Dunkin' Donuts, for "dessert" after the oh so tasty cucumber sandwiches and pineapple cheese ball. I had my closest friends/bridesmaids there with me, along with my mum, Curt's mum, soon to be sister-in-law, soon to be cousins, and a kitty cat named, Tigger along side me.
After we finished eating, we made our way outside to put together the favors and birdseed to toss as Curt and I leave the venue after our wedding reception. It was so nice to just sit down and talk with everyone, while we were busy bees finishing up the favors, which are TOO adorable, aren't they? Curtis's aunt made each of the cones by hand (with some help over Easter weekend) with scrap booking paper, and then I bought a big 'ole bag of bird seed, some ribbon, and tulle to make into tiny bags that are easy for the guests to open up and toss. Since so much time went into making the cones themselves, I decided they were too pretty to just have one purpose, so we put little chocolates in them as well for the favors.
I feel so blessed to have such amazing women in my life that would do all of this for me! I can't imagine a better little tea party, and I've got to search for some of that Cinnamon tea, it was absolutely delicious!
you are perfect. i'm having trouble forming other words right now because those strawberry cupcakes look delicious, that cat is fantastic, and you are SO FRIGGEN PRETTY. you're going to be the prettiest bride.
ReplyDeletewhere is that dress from? from what i can tell, it was made for you and probably looks awful on everyone else in the world.

Hahaha, okay.. I'm not the biggest tea drinker ever, and I told them that, but they found some AMAZING teas for the party. Thus, I need to go buy them! :)
DeleteAnd yes, the pics were taken with my new camera!
Your Bridal Tea pictures are BEYOND adorable. Wow. So elegant and classy, and yet shimmering in the same kind of fun that comes through in your outfits and personality.
ReplyDeleteWeddings are so much fun (and sometimes so stressful) to plan. It can get overwhelming at times- I know I felt that way. But then I just sat back and remembered that no matter what happened, I was getting married to my best friend. That helped take the edge off of the stress, and help me to have fun again.
Cheers!
