I did make a trip to Dallas this past weekend with the padres while Curtis was busy studying for his final, and I'm pretty content with my shopping haul. I stuck to my guns and only bought tops {and one pair of shoes, sorry, I can't stay away from them}! Plus, a ton of stuff for around the house at IKEA. I've got one more final to go in my statistics class and then this summer session is over.. oh, and I suffered my way through Public Speaking and I couldn't be more pleased that it's all over now! ha. But, the real deal starts back up in a couple of weeks.. not too excited, but it'll be much easier knowing I got 3 courses out of the way this summer. Oh, and the fall semester is always my favorite because it means football is here! Our first game is barely over two weeks away and I'm pretty ecstatic about the season {just no one mention Johnny Football, I'm tired of hearing about his autograph}.
Anyway, here's a few photos from the weekend!
1. View of the Dallas skyline as we were driving in. I'm not gonna lie, I much prefer Dallas to Houston. First, my favorite baseball team plays a few miles west of there in Arlington {woo Rangers!}. Second, its not awful and humid like Houston. Third, it has a funky vibe in certain areas.. not as much as Austin, of course, but still pretty cool. Fourth, the traffic isn't quite as crazy as Houston, a city in which I literally was clutching the steering wheel for dear life when I first drove in the chaos they call 5 o'clock traffic. Fifth, did I mention the lack of intense humidity?
2. Some storm clouds were rolling in after our trip to IKEA, so naturally I whipped out my iPhone to snap a picture.. I took my camera on the trip, but I got kind of lazy and didn't feel like taking it out ever.
3. We ate at my absolute favorite restaurant, Razzoo's. Seriously, I need more Cajun in my life. Aka, College Station or Waco, build a freakin' Razzoo's.
4. First trip of the morning on Saturday we went to Buffalo Exchange, where I found this awesome American Apparel dress, but alas, it fit really oddly in the back.. which of course made it not fit at all in the bosom section. I was so disappointed you guys.. The joys of boobs, they truly aren't all they're cracked up to be. I did get that dotted tee though, seeing as I can't get enough of polka dots lately.
Also, if you'll notice my Beatles phone case my lovely husband found for me. I've been wanting one forrrrreeeeverrrr, but was not gonna pay $25 for one. He found it at Target on clearance for $7.50. Yay for husbands that pay attention! hehe
How was everyone's weekend?
xo,
Kristina

ReplyDeleteOh Hai. Please come back to the blogging world! It misses you dearly.. and by it I mean me!
ReplyDeleteI love the storm cloud picture! The polka dot shirt is so cute that it will make up for the dress, I'm a sucker for polka dots. Would love it if we could follow each other. I blog on fashion, art, and like you photography (one of my passions). Check out my blog and let me know.
