After that wonderful adventure, we headed over to a paper store to order the wedding invitations, I already had the design made up, I just needed fancy paper to put it on -- they'll be in, in about a week, I'm so stoked! We then headed to a couple of thrift stores and a local boutique that I spotted on our way to the paper store, I picked up a sweet purse, a skirt, and a dress for either a bridal shower or the rehearsal dinner, I can't decide which one yet. But, I'll show them at some point! I know, I know, I'm not supposed to spend money for another 3 days..but I don't know when I'll be making another trip to Austin soon, so I decided to just go for it. Plus, they were fantastic deals.
This is what I wore on this awesome day:
Just so y'all know, scarves are pretty new to me. I don't know if I've said that before, probably have, but I love how much they make outfits better. I've been obsessed with this scarf for a while, but I didn't really know how to wear it..I think I've figured it out. Apparently scarves have a learning curve? ha. But, this was a really comfortable outfit, fit for riding in a car for a couple of hours, walking around ATX, and eating at my favorite restaurant, Razzoo's (yummm, cajun!)
I'm gonna go mess with my camera now, happy Saturday!

ps. Nicole, sorry I didn't tell you I was coming, if I had been by myself, you would've been first on my list!
What a great surprise! I am holding out on buying a real camera until after we move and I have a bit more money to put towards fun things (instead of moving expenses, ugh), so for now I take most of my pics on my iphone (also ugh). Can't wait to see what you bought!

I've been using my iPhone for this entire blog.. it's worked really well actually, but I'm so excited to have a camera again! I've missed it. Plus, it looks less weird taking pictures of random things (or yourself..) with a real camera and not just a little iPhone on a tiny tripod hanging off of a tree or an inanimate object.

omg i'm so happy you had an awesome time here! i definitely just tweeted at you before seeing the PS. at the bottom of the post. what boutique did you go into??
ReplyDeletei totally agree that scarves have a learning curve. one of my bffs in college was from wisconsin and she taught be how to wear scarves. now i just throw them on with anything that needs to feel a little more complete.
love the color and weight of yours!!
xo nic
I went to A Town, they were having a parking lot sale! I got like $180 worth of stuff for $35, was amazingggg :)
DeleteI<3yourcity. If Curtis or I ever get a job offer there, I'm going to MAKE moving there happen!
This is seriously the most perfect outfit. Chambray + black jeans + cute shoes + scarf = amazing. I could wear this look EVERY DAY. I'm so jelly of your new camera! I'm trying to get my dad to give me one of his older cameras (he's a professional photographer) to play around with ;) I can't wait to see all sorts of pretty pictures you take with your fancy new camera!

Danke Jenna! :)
DeleteI think I could wear this everyday too, it was so wonderfully comfortable! And it is AWESOME that your dad is a professional photographer, I'm jealous.. he can teach you a thing or two, I'm stuck trying to figure stuff out on my own! I suppose my dad could teach me how to arrest someone or something, he was a cop, ha! ;]
That's so exciting! I hope my camera never ever dies because I don't know what I would do with myself haha. So happy you guys got so much figured out this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAlso that scarf: I want. It's exactly what I've been looking for.
Haha, I really hope you don't have to ever deal with your camera dying. It really isn't fun, or inexpensive. ;)
DeleteI wish I hadn't gotten the scarf over a year ago, or else I'd tell you to run out to Gap and get yourself one!
