Anywho, I'm diggin' no split ends for the time being.
I finally got a remote that works with my Canon, yayay. Although, it's going to take some real skill to figure out how the heck to hide my remote, it's not exactly tiny. I used one of Curt's dad's lenses today for some of the pictures, I'm obsessed with it. It takes such beautiful and crisp photos, and you can really tell the difference between my lens and his higher end lens. Case in point -- the ones of my entire body are my lens, the others are his lens, can you tell? I know I can.
I found this striped top on the same Goodwill trip as the cardigan, and it was another hole in my closet. To be honest, this striped shirt obsession is becoming a bit crazy, and I packed like four striped tops to bring home with me. When I was planning out some outfits for the week, I definitely felt that feeling when you finally realize you're obsessed with something and it's weird. I'm a stripes addict, and it's taking over my.. closet. Haha! Oh! I just ordered this baby for the honeymoon, I am soooo excited. Hopefully I don't look completely ridiculous in the bottoms, but I was in love with it from the very first time I saw it. How can you not be?
How about you guys, any patterns you're particularly drawn to? Or have you gotten a new bathing suit for the coming summer months?

i knew one of the hair photos would be of the karlie! i think it would look so cute on you. good call waiting til after the wedding, though. just in time for the honeymoon! there's a blogger who has her hair sort of like that and i wish my hair would do it, but i've had the cut a million times and it just doesn't. her link is thebroadcloth.com. how perfect would that cut look on you? so perfect.

Ahhh, now i really want to do it, Nicole!
DeleteOh, and i love that blog..seriously, thanks for linking it. She's gorgeous!
do itttttt! I chop mine off every few years and it's so liberating! (it also feels really good if you have enough hair to donate!) It always takes some time to figure out how to style, but it's a fun change. I think it would look great on you!

Thanks, Jenn! I really think I'm gonna do it :D
Deleteoh my gosh you would look GORGEOUS with those shorter haircuts!! I'm finally starting to like my shorter, layered look but I know that for at least 1 year before i get married I won't cut it at all ;) and THAT BATHING SUIT. so freakin' adorable!! I paid almost $100 for a bikini last year from Victorias Secret and I gained weight and my uh..."girls" grew like one whole size and how I can't wear the top without looking like a hoochie mama :( BOO.
ReplyDeleteI know I need to get a proper-fitting bathing suit but I've been drawn to one-pieces and tankinis lately, and surprisingly Matt LOVES one pieces...so I think I'm gonna be on the look out for a super cute one piece for this summa!
p.s. YOU ARE SO DARN PRETTY, especially in that close-up with the watch. you are gonna make one beautiful bride, chica!

Danke, danke! I'm really wanting to do it now, too bad I have to wait two more months, ha. I have ridiculous problems with le girls too.. seriously, bathing suits are either perfect or DO NOT WORK AT ALL. There seems to be more of the DO NOT WORK AT ALL bathing suits out in the world, so I'm really praying that this one works! I haven't spent a ton on a bathing suit in quite sometime.
DeleteCurtis loves one pieces too! I've been on the hunt for one (and I really want to order one from J. Crew), but I don't want to spend a ton more than I already have.. BUT, hopefully I can find one! If you see any, let me know :)
Thank you, girl, you are too too sweet :)
You girls should try http://beverlyswimwear.com/ I did a review of her suits and I love mine! She has SO many cute, vintage-style one pieces and since she handmakes them (trust me the quality is amazing) you can customize it with whatever color/pattern you want! Here's my review :) http://haircutandgeneralattitude.blogspot.com/2013/03/make-splash.html
DeleteAwesome tip, Jessi! Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out :)
DeleteDO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT! I 100% support ladies with short hair; you'll look great! (Not that you don't already)
ReplyDeleteAnd, the addiction to stripes? It's contagious. I don't even wanna tell you how many longsleeve striped boatneck shirts I have (4. At least.)

I really think I will, Lily! I'm super excited now! :D
DeleteAnd yeah.. I've got at least 6 striped tops, probably more.. it's ridiculous. Oh well! hehe
Those boots are so cute and your hair looks great! I totally want to chop mine off sometimes but I know I don't have the face for it. I don't know how I know...I just do. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI love the bikini you bought! I'm so tempted to try the high waisted bikini look but I don't think it would work with my body type. Where are you going on your honeymoon? Your wedding is getting so close!!

Thanks girl! I think you'd look really good with a high waisted bikini, I duno, it just seems to fit your personality :D
DeleteYour hair looks great! LOVE your ring, too. Jeez, it's gorgeous.

Thanks, Amanda! I LOVE my ring so much!
DeleteVisiting from All Things Alisa link up. Love your outfit.

Thanks, chica!
DeleteThis is coming from a LOVER of short hair, so I'm biased haha! But you should totally chop it! I love the side part on the first picture, and the curliness on the second.
ReplyDeleteAs for face shape, Google solves all problems. When I was looking for a different style, I looked up styles for a heart-shaped face (my face shape), and it told me to add bangs or more volume to the top of my hair to distract from a wide forehead. You can find the same tips for your face shape!
And I'm loving that bikini and your striped shirts!
Thanks girl! I really really want to.. we'll see if I have the courage come May. I've had short hair before and it looked fine, but it's been four years at least.. haha, so it's still pretty scary! I'll definitely use the ole google, but sometimes it's just so stinking hard to tell what on earth my face shape is!
DeleteI'm extremely obsessed with stripes, and I buy way too many striped tops. Love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteThanks chica! they're too difficult to resist.. :O
DeleteI'm drawn to those retro bikinis, but UO is a little steep for me (but a honeymoon is worth the cost!)... I think high-waisted bottoms give a very flattering silhouette, but I have an old sole. I don't think you'll look ridiculous in them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't really tell if your face shape is rectangle or oval, but it'll work with chin-length styles. I have a long face and apparently it's best with almost all hair but long, go figure.
Haha, I'm pretty sure I have an old sole too, anything that looks remotely retro, I'm there.
DeleteLovely boots! =]

I totally get the wanting short hair in the summer. 115 degrees with this head of hair in the summer? No fun. I do love your hair now but that second option is way cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amanda! Summer's brutal here too, it'd be wonderful wonderful wonderful having short hair!
DeleteHey Kristina, I nominated you for the Liebster Award on my blog! You can go to my blog to see the details!

DeleteYou would look adorable with a short haircut. Go you for being brave. I'm weirdly attached to my hair, mainly because it never grows. I also haven't had a hair cut in like a year and a half. Oops. haha
ReplyDeleteThanks girl! I know.. I'm really awful at going and getting hair cuts. It's like it's a chore or something ;P
DeleteSimple outfit but gorgeous. Cut your hair - it always grows back! Having said that I'm done with the haircut maintainance that short hair requires for now - you're right it does become a chore! Thanks so much for linking up with WW :)
