Guest Post: Nydia's Top 5 Sunny Days Essentials

Nydia, from A Girl Named Nydia, was one of the first bloggers I found when I started blogging. Her colorful and feminine style, mixed with her beautiful photography in sunny Puerto Rico make for one gorgeous blog. Not to mention she has such a sweet, sweet personality to go along with it! I knew I could ask Nydia for something fun and summery for this week of summer inspiration, I mean, if living in the Caribbean isn't enough, I don't know what is! So enjoy Nydia's Top 5 Sunny Days Essentials, and be sure to check out her amazing blog too.

Roadtrips. Fun by the sea. Pool days.

Who can’t wait for Summer?  Because if you ask me I’m obsessing over it! But first, we have to be prepared with all the goodies for Summer 2013. Here is small list of my top 5 sunny days essentials.

Dresses: No matter if their maxi or short, a cute dress must not be absent in your wardrobe. They’re perfect  if you want to look feminine and comfortable for those warm Summer days and nights!

Bright Nails: If your not into wearing bright colors for clothing or you just can’t get enough of them, wearing colorful nail polish is just a great way! Maybelline has the cutest collection click here to see them!

High Rise Shorts:  If you love wearing denim shorts 24/7 during Summer, adding high-waisted ones will give you an adorable vintage vibe. You can also find them in adorable solids and floral patterns like this one from PacSun!

Braids: We all love those beach styled waves, but let’s face it: It’s going to be hot (very hot!) And instead of a ponytail or a messy bun be creative with your hair. Try a braid crown/halo for a sweet, soft look or a gorgeous fishtail braid.  Don’t know how to do them? No worries, click here & here for tutorials!

Hair and Skin Protection: This is the most important part of the whole list. Protecting your skin and hair from the rays of sun is a must for all of us. Neutrogena offers the new Beach Defense Suncreen with a SPF 70. It smells devine, superlightweight and water resistent (up to 80 minutes). For hair, I recommend Garnier’s Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave in conditioner! Which would help “calm" your hair  if it becomes dry or frizzy!

Hope you feel inspired!
