Guest Post: Three Ways to Wear Lace Dresses with Brynn

I have another lovely treat for y'all today, Brynn from The Original Brynn, so graciously agreed to share some of her favorite ways to wear her awesome lace dresses (I'm super jealous, I want some more in my own wardrobe!) If you haven't made your way over to her blog yet, I strongly recommend it. She's such an amazing inspiration, and always replies to your comments. Her blog has quickly become one of my favorites, and I'm so excited to have her guest posting for me today! So, I give you Brynn :)

Hi!  I'm Brynn from The Original Brynn.  I'm super duper excited
to be posting today on Kristina's blog while she is on her Caribbean cruise! [Also, I'm
ridiculously jealous.]

So, I'm a huge fan of dresses.  I wear them all year round, but find them to be
pretty crucial to my wardrobe in the spring and summer months.  I'm not a shorts
lover, but in the hot and humid Minnesota summers, I need to have a little less fabric on
my skin than jeans or capris.  This is where dresses come in.  I love that
dresses don't have constricting waistbands, and you don't have to worry about your shirt
staying tucked in, etc.  Just throw it on and you're pretty much good to go.

Lately, I've been absolutely loving lace dresses.  I have three of them, and I get
stupidly excited every time I wear one.  They're just so pretty and fun!  And
the best part of all of these dresses was that I got all of them for under $20 at Target!
Here are three ways I've worn my lace dresses.

I love this outfit because it is simple and easy.  This lace dress has gorgeous
detailing at the neck (which you can't really see here - oops), so I don't even need to wear
a necklace with it.  In order to keep it cute and exciting, however, I created a waist
by adding my trusty metallic belt and popped on my silver sandals for a little extra shine
and sparkle.

I love this dress because it has a stretchy waistband built in, and the lining is "nude,"
so you can really see the lace pattern.  I've worn this dress with a belt before,
but decided I wanted to go without in this outfit.  This dress has an exposed gold
zipper in the back, so I put on a gold chain necklace and a gold headband to tie it all
together, and my floral wedges for some extra color.  I'm probably going to wear
this to one of the many weddings I'm going to this summer!

Lace dresses tend to lean a little towards the formal side, so I wanted to show how
you can dress them down, too, for a more casual look.  Pairing a lace dress with
a cargo vest and fun leopard print belt cover up more of the lace pattern so it isn't so
overwhelming.  Instead of heels or fancy sandals, I just decided my brown leather
flats would keep the look casual.  I would wear this outfit to a day out with my
girlfriends or out to lunch with my husband.

Lace dresses are all over stores right now - it is so tempting to buy more!  I
encourage you all to pick one up and see how you like them!  They're beautiful,
comfortable, and more versatile than you'd think :)

Thank you for having me on your blog today, Kristina!  I hope you and Curtis are
enjoying the sunshine and newly married life together!
