A Little Personality

If any of you ever meet me in real life, you'll soon figure out I'm a huge goofball. Lots of people don't actually get to see that side of me, just because I'm pretty awkward and don't like to "embarrass" myself in front of people that don't know me very well. But if you do get to know me, you'll soon discover that I love dancing around like the weird kid I truly am.. and by dancing, I mean moving in motions that look nothing like actual dance moves. I like yelling about finding quarters in the parking lot (to people I know, I promise I'm not completely loco and just yell at random passers-by). I enjoy laughing about nothing for ten minutes straight. I like calling people funny names and saying inappropriate words all too often (although, you can thank Curtis for a lot of that too). And, I make funny faces for no apparent reason.. another thing Curtis has only encouraged. Okay, lets just say we're both big goofballs and our kids are probably definitely going to be the coolest kids ever.

I promise that rant had a purpose.. you see, as I was going through my pictures for this post, I realized, for some odd reason, I had shown a little more of my personality in the pictures. I had lots of jumping pictures, why? I could not tell you, I guess I just felt like jumping. There's lots of weird faces in the pictures.. I don't know if that was truly on purpose, or if I was feeling especially silly on Friday, but there's more goofy pictures than normal pictures. So you know, I thought I'd throw in a few a lot of me being.. me

Let's get weird.. shall we? (that sounds gross, sorry.)

And... done. I couldn't pick favorites today. Honestly, I loved too many pictures. Probably because I loved this outfit way too much. I've been wanting to introduce y'all to my maroon pants for forever now. I hunted these babies down this past fall, and by hunted, I mean manhunt. I had troops on all sides.. okay, just my mom. But we searched and searched for them for so long, and then.. wam bam thank you ma'am, there they were. I literally threw them in the cart and ran for the checkout. Maroon is just one of those colors I can't seem to get enough of, and these are perfect for fall football games. Although, I have to say, Target's jeans are so freakin' tiny. I went up a size and these are still a little tighter than I'd prefer. What the heck Target? Get on that.

The bridal session went GREAT! Better than I could have even imagined actually. I was starting to worry because I was having a really difficult time picking out a place to take the photos.. but I chose the George Bush Presidential Library here on campus literally last Wednesday. I've never ventured over to the Bush's humble abode (seriously, they stay there..or so I've heard, during their visits to A&M, which are plentiful) before, so Curtis and I made our way over there last week to see if it'd be right for pictures. It was more than right, seriously, I'm in love with the garden/pond walking area behind the Library itself, and I can't wait to see the pictures. My photographer, Aly (you can check out her website here) is so amazing and soooo talented! I highly recommend her if you're ever in need and in the local area.

Last thing before I go, I'm going to be extremely busy with school, family (thank you Easter for the long weekend), and wedding things in the next couple of weeks, so if I don't post as regularly.. that would be the reason why. I'm joining in on Fran and Whitney's link up 5 days, 5 ways this week, but if I don't get to anymore in the next few days.. I  might just do my own little version of it once every thing slows down a bit. The first day is tops, so here's five more ways to wear my trusty chambray (pulled from my archives):

1/2/3/4/5
Which one is your favorite? I kind of love them all.. so it's really hard to choose from!
Hope y'all have a fantastic week, I'm going to try my best to have a good one. Wooohooo!

  6. These pictures are wonderful, pretty girl!! I LOVE the silly "outtake" ones- so fun and so full of personality :) we would get along SO well. we both say random words, make weird faces (my signature face? "The Lizard". It's freakin amazeballs) and make crazy faces in jumping pics.

Oh and coincidence that we both chose our chambray shirts for our 5 Days, 5 Ways?

    Nope :)

I know, like I've said so many times before, we seriously need to be real friends in real life! I must see this lizard face at some point. I make a "turtle" face when I dance..it's pretty legit.

I chuckled when I saw that your 5 days, 5 ways was a chambray too ;)

  16. Ah, chambray. So versatile, so easy to wear, and so darn cute. I hope it never goes away. It's one of those things that will eventually come back, though. One of those things I would not get rid of! I feel your fear in getting rid of clothes. My advice: Don't get rid of what you love, what you have great memories in, and what you think is a timeless piece. Donate the rest. I like to think it will do someone else good (although I'm also familiar with the negative repercussions that donated clothing can have on economically disadvantaged countries). You just have to be careful where you donate.

As for my favorite chambray look of yours, I really can't choose! I love the buttoned-up look with the bright skirt. Also the one with the dress and colored tights. They're all very cute!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog!

    1. Such great advice Nathy! Seriously, I had never thought of it that way before..well, yes, donating, I get, but keeping those pieces that mean something to you and have good memories, that's so wonderful!

Thanks for your kind words :)

  21. That first paragraph you wrote about being a goofball in real life but perhaps more reserved on the blog? Could have been written about me :) Your style is great! I love those maroon pants (they look like they were made for you!!!), and seeing how you styled your chambray shirt gave me some inspiration for mine (I love my shirt but am stumped on how to wear it!). Keep it up, lady!
