Recappin' the 30x30 Challenge

Here they are, in all of their glory, all of my thirty outfits in one place. It's been real 30x30 challenge, its been fun, but.. I'm glad you're over. The rest of my closet is feeling pretty neglected, and it's high time I embrace it with open arms. Oh, and you can click on each picture to go to the specific day if you'd like!

Some things I learned along the way..
  1. My chambray, you wonderful wonderful creature, you. You always made me feel complete, you knew just how to pull an outfit together when it seemed so wrong, you, my friend, are a life saver, and I didn't full appreciate you until this challenge. But no more! You, and some of your pals, will be joining the ranks of most awesome clothing pieces in my closet, so glad I picked you out of the crowd when I planned all of this out.
  2. My Gap blue jeans, they are literally the most comfortable pants on earth, and now I want to buy three more pairs so that when they start wearing down, I won't have to be sad.
  3. I have a couple of items I only wore once or twice, and one item that I didn't even wear at all. The shorts are a gimme, it never got warm enough to truly wear shorts, so I replaced them with some other items such as my vest and a cardigan. But, the navy polka dotted sweater that I wanted so badly over Christmas has to go.. I think I'd like it more if it was a medium, but its a large. I only bought it because it was on clearance, a lesson learned I suppose, don't buy things that don't really fit you! Seems kinda obvious, but sometimes shopping blinds me.
  4. My beloved Gap loafers cannot be trusted. They aren't good for my feet, and even though I love wearing them and they're the most comfortable things ever.. I have to buy shoes that are better suited for walking a lot because well.. I walk a ton. So, although I won't be getting rid of them, they'll just be for around the house stuff.
  5. I heart ankle boots, a lot. Both pairs that I've bought in the past couple of months are stinking amazing, and I know I'll get my money's worth from both of them. Good job, Kristina.
  6. Accessories really do make outfits, and I need to find myself pieces that I absolutely love and will love for a long while. I'm really lacking in the necklace department, so I'll try to search for some cute ones in the coming months.
  7. You guys are awesome. I'm so glad to have such an amazing support group, y'all encouraged me to keep pushing..even when I thought I couldn't come up with anymore ideas. This was a fantastic way to get my blog jump started (Lord knows I've tried too many times), and I'm so happy to have found a great group of ladies who make my day each and every day with y'all's sweet, sweet comments.
What are some of your favorites? My top 5 would have to be Day 7, Day 8, Day 12, Day 22, and Day 26, in numerical order of course.

Alright, enough of the 30x30, I'm ready to start bloggin'! I've got a whole plan set out for scheduling posts and all that jazz, I'm super stoked. If there's one thing y'all should know about me, I'm a bit of an organization freak.. lists, lists and more lists.

Hope you guys have enjoyed the past month, I know I have -- and it's not because of the clothes!  ;)

  5. You did such a great job! You've made me think maaaybe I can pull off ankle boots - I've been afraid I wouldn't wear them, but you got so much wear out of them. I think my favorite looks are 13, 14 and 10.

  6. I really love the outfits with burgundy maxi skirt, especially the one with the striped top (dress)! I found your "lessons learned" very useful for myself too, as I sin at buying wrong stuff too and never wear it afterwards..

  7. This is so impressive. I don't think I could start this and finish it because I am so unorganized right now with my closet and shoe space. You did an amazing job! Each outfit is so unique!

I love outfit #23 and I agree that a chambray shirt is one of the best pieces a girl could own :) Heather
